We know times are tough, and keeping costs low matters. But a mistake we see time and time again is businesses trying to save a little on their software subscription at the cost of having features that would easily earn the equivalent revenue (and then some!)
Our plans are priced at $49, $99, and $149 so the monthly difference is $50. Let’s work out how to cover that cost using Punchpass’ features…
Don’t pay $0, pay $49 so you can…
This is the first jump from having no booking software at all, to having a service like Punchpass that keeps your business organized. Many business owners are still taking bookings via phone/email/text and then managing payments, rescheduling and cancellations in the same way. This might seem manageable – until you discover a better option and then you’ll wonder how you put up with it for so long!
For instance, one of our new Punchpass users saw that in under 1 week of launching the system, 16 customers moved their own reservations from one class to another. That is 16 emails worth of back and forth time saved in just 7 days!
Consider the time spent communicating with your community and how it could be better spent on marketing, planning and developing your business.
Our baseline plan (the Willow plan at $49/month) includes online reservations, easy online payments (Stripe transaction fees apply) and automated welcome emails and customer outreach. You can also require students pay for a pass while booking a class. Every reservation is guaranteed $…say goodbye to those awkward “please pay me” conversations!
If just a couple of new students find a class they like the look of, book themselves in, and pay for the session (or even grab an intro pass) without you needing to do anything, that’s going to feel pretty priceless (but it’s also definitely worth $49!).
And if those students are becoming regulars? You can use our standing reservations feature to book them into the same class each week. Their mindset can go from “maybe I’ll try to get to yoga again on Tuesday night” to “it’s Tuesday, time to head to my yoga class!”
Don’t pay $49, pay $99 so you can…
Our Willow plan is undoubtedly fantastic, but our $99 Banyan plan really steps things up and gives you the tools that you need to take your business to the next level.
On this plan you can bundle groups of classes which makes running offerings like multi-week beginner’s courses, weekend workshops and other events super simple with one-click sign up and payment. One additional customer booked into a series will easily cover the difference in your plan pricing.
After the course is over, you have an opportunity to generate more revenue. Take advantage of our Content Library feature to record your sessions, then make them available to your students at an additional charge. You could run an in-person beginners’ course, record the classes (and any bonus material), then make the videos available as an online “go at your own pace” beginners course. That online course can then be bought and accessed by your students for as long as you like -no monitoring required. One online beginner course purchased per month covers your upgraded plan costs (plus makes your classes more accessible!).
Or you might like to consider offering recurring memberships – your customers can opt into a regular payment in return for a set number of classes (or unlimited access). Members can be offered access to online content in your library, special discounts on studio offerings, and the option to bring a friend for free. Just a few memberships can create a reliable stream of income. If you get the price just right (we can help with that!), then they can be a real win/win for you and your customers.
Our waitlist feature also makes it easy to keep your classes as full as possible. If you get 3-4 people automatically coming off of a waitlist and into a confirmed spot in class over the course of the month, then you’ve easily covered the difference in plan costs by not letting free spots go to waste!
Don’t pay $99, pay $149 so you can…
Or maybe you’re ready to go all in?
Our Redwood plan includes everything you need to wow your customers and keep them coming back again and again.
A customized intake form lets you gather all of the information you need, and customer tagging keeps that data organized. Easily reach out to students interested in specific class types, or those at different stages of their customer journey, and keep everyone engaged and connected to your offerings. Find out more about what makes your students tick and you’ll be better equipped to provide exactly what they need.
Your enhanced Punchpass homepage can display a welcome video, highlight specific classes and passes (hello limited time sales!). It can also give prospective customers deeper insight into your business so they immediately feel ready to sign up, pay up and show up!
Our Redwood plan also includes unlimited email automations which is where your customer engagement really kicks into high gear. Our in-house automated workflows mean that you can seamlessly stay in touch with your students at every stage of their journey – send a welcome email when they first sign up (an opportunity to get them through the door with a sneaky discount offer?), a follow up email after their first class (getting that second booking is key!), a fun message on their birthday (maybe including an extra treat), an invitation to sign up for a discounted membership after they’ve taken advantage of one of your intro passes and so much more.
This plan really lets you share the love -a couple of enthusiastic new students will easily cover the difference in plan costs.
Final thoughts
It’s natural to want to save some money wherever you can during a financial pinch; however, we encourage you to see the full picture and consider whether an investment in more features and options might make your plan pay for itself (and then some!)
It also helps that your Punchpass plan is month-to-month with no lock in contract so you can move between plans seasonally to make sure you have the features that you need when you need them, but aren’t paying for them when you don’t.
