Product Updates

Punchpass is constantly being updated and improved! This is what’s new:

Improvement

Series pass suggestions improved

June 20, 2023

We’ve improved our pass suggestion feature for series bookings (the alert box that tells the customer they don’t have a pass, they need one to book, and here are the ones they can consider.). Now, we only suggest passes that are compatible and exclude memberships with punchcards. If no eligible passes are available, we prompt customers to contact the studio for in-person booking.

Improvement

Improvements to handling failed initial membership charges

June 6, 2023

We’ve made some changes to how we handle situations when there’s a problem with membership purchases. This applies whether the issue happens right away or when the membership is supposed to start in the future (we don’t charge the card until the membership begins). Here are the improvements we’ve made: – If the membership is supposed to start immediately, we won’t assign it to the customer. Instead, we’ll ask them to contact the studio directly for assistance. – If the membership is scheduled to start in the future, we’ll notify the customer about the problem and give them a link to update their card information. We’ll also inform the studio about the situation. These changes ensure better communication so payment-related issues can be resolved quickly.

Improvement

Waitlists for series improved

June 1, 2023

We’ve made some changes to the waitlist options for series to make things simpler and prevent any confusion. Here’s what you need to know: – If a class is part of a series, the system will prohibit a separate waitlist just for an individual class within the series. Instead, there will be a single waitlist for the entire series.
– Once a series has started, customers won’t be able to sign up for the waitlist themselves. However, admin users at the studio can still add someone to the waitlist as needed.
– If a series is already in progress, the system won’t automatically notify everyone on the waitlist if a spot opens up. Instead, a studio admin can manually move people from the waitlist to fill the available spot. These changes help prevent any conflicts or complications that can arise with multiple waitlists and ongoing series.

Update

Minor updates to public schedule

May 30, 2023

Two minor updates were made to the customer view of your public schedule:
– Now, when a customer books a class, the system redirects them back to the date of the class they booked. From there, they can continue to browse the schedule before/after that date easily.
– We no longer display ‘spots left’ once a class has started

Improvement

Improved customer account page

May 22, 2023

We’ve made some changes to the customer’s account page. Now, when a customer has more than 20 records, we’ll paginate the fields to make it easier for you to view the ‘History’ tab without having to endlessly scroll.

Improvement

Reservation changes made easier

May 18, 2023

When moving a reservation, upcoming classes for the same type of class are displayed first to make it easier for owners and instructors to move reservations to an upcoming slot in the same class. Previously, the upcoming classes were listed in alphabetical order.

Improvement

Private sessions are easier to change

May 15, 2023

Owners & instructors can now edit a private session and change the class — you no longer have to cancel it and create a new one.

Improvement

“Needs pass” click shows available passes only

May 12, 2023

Now when a business admin clicks on the ‘Needs Pass’ button after taking attendance, you won’t see full and expired passes from the ‘Assign Pass’ modal. If you want to assign attendance to a full or expired pass, you can simply edit the attendance by clicking the 3 dots next to it. On that page, we have a dropdown that lists all previous passes purchased.

Improvement

“Needs pass” now shows for full membership pass

May 11, 2023

We’ve improved the process for showing admin users the ‘Needs Pass’ button when viewing a list of class reservations. Previously, the button wasn’t displayed if a customer had a full membership pass for the current period. However, you’ll now see the button even in these situations since the customer’s current pass is full and cannot be used.

Improvement

UI improvements for class instance details

May 11, 2023

We made a minor change to the class instance details page to improve the admin user experience. Since many businesses have long location names, we removed the ‘Location’ from the bold part of the name (you can still see the location in the class details). We also added the end time of the class. And to avoid repetition, we removed some duplicate content from the ‘Class details’ section.
