Product Updates

Punchpass is constantly being updated and improved! This is what’s new:

Update

Multiple Changes to the Zoom Integration

March 25, 2020

1. We now include the meeting password that is generated on the class details page AND in the last email sent to customers. They shouldn’t need it – but it’s there if they do for some reason.
2. The blue ‘online class’ box on the admin side of the class instance page has been redesigned to contain the url more cleanly.
3. We added a class START button to the blue box for each online class. This is a URL that the instructor can use to start the meeting. In our testing, it allows whomever clicks it to run the online class, even if they are logged into Zoom on another account.

Update

Class Details Page Now Shows When Reminder Emails Were Sent

March 20, 2020

A business sometimes wants to really know ‘did the reservation reminder emails get sent?’ for an upcoming class time. Now we update the class info on the admin side to let you know. If it’s an online class, we also show a timestamp for the ‘online class starting soon’ email.

Improvement

Close Reservations – New Options That Are Less Than 1hr Before Class

March 20, 2020

Now businesses can allow more last-minute class reservations. You can choose 15, 30, or 45 minutes before class for the reservation cutoff.

Improvement

Failed Payments Message to Clients Has Been Improved

March 19, 2020

Payments in Europe can sometimes fail because the payment requires authentication from the customer. This will happen most frequently with memberships that are renewing. Now we show a better explanation of what happened, and what they should do about it.

New Feature

Zoom App for Online Classes

March 17, 2020

We’ve set up a complete integration with Zoom so businesses can offer online classes seamlessly using Punchpass and Zoom.

New Feature

Pause All Memberships Option Now Available

March 16, 2020

Now businesses have the power to pause all their customers’ active memberships themselves. They can find this option at the bottom of the Active Memberships Report.

Improvement

New Memberships Option: Mark Automatically as Paid

March 5, 2020

If a business collects membership payments outside of the Stripe/Punchpass integration, they can now automatically set customer memberships to default to “paid” status at the time of each payment period. This helps ease the administration of manually reconciling them.

Improvement

Customer Required to Pay Up Front Can Now See Eligible Passes

February 25, 2020

If a business requires a pass to reserve a spot class, a customer who is locked out of booking can now see the list of eligible passes for that class so they can buy and book more quickly.

Improvement

Added Class Length to Instructor Report

February 21, 2020

If you pay your instructors based on time spent teaching, this will let you quickly add up the minutes when you view all classes taught by a particular instructor.

Update

Improved: Counting How Many Visits a Customer Can Book

February 17, 2020

We’ve improved the calculation of how many reservations a customer is allowed book. This will be used when a business has locked down access to bookings & the system must calculate how many visits they have already paid for in advance.
