How You Can Get Started with Punchpass: A Step by Step Guide

Here's a step-by-step guide to your evaluation of Punchpass online booking software. Find out if we're the right fit for you and your business!

September 10, 2019

If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the market for some online booking software. Chances are you have a whole bunch of browser tabs open and are having trouble remembering which software offers what features. We’ve been there, and we know that it can be very overwhelming!

Maybe you’ve been using another system and you’re ready for a change. Or maybe this is your first foray into moving your business to an online system. Whatever your reasons for being here, we want to make your next steps as clear as possible so you have a good shot at seeing if Punchpass is the right fit for you and your business.

Step 1: Check Out The Plans

Punchpass offers 3 different plans with different price points and feature sets. Check them out and pick the one that seems like the closest match for what you need.

Not sure just yet? No worries! You can change between plans during your trial to see how the different features work with your business model.

Step 2: Ask The Team

Ask any preliminary questions that you have via our super-friendly online chat.

One of the things we know for sure at Punchpass is that everyone runs their business differently. What’s crucial for you may be not at all necessary to the studio down the street. Feel free to reach out to our friendly team via the chat button on our website (you might get Victoria or Claire depending on what time zone you’re in) and get those initial questions out of the way.

We can provide you with some examples of other businesses using Punchpass and help you to fully understand what we can do for you.

Prefer to do your own research? We have a huge library of help articles that will put the information you need at your fingertips.

Just click the little bubble in the lower right corner of your screen to reach us.

Step 3: Start a Free Trial

If Punchpass looks like it could be what you’re looking for, it’s time to sign up for our free two-week trial. The trial is fully featured and customised to the plan you picked in Step 1 (but you can change to another plan at any time to see what changes).

The trial guides you through your account setup so you’re not just dropped in the deep end and expected to swim.

You can set up some classes/passes/instructors and customise all of your public facing pages to see how things will look to your customers and test different options and workflows.

Have questions during this process? We’re still available on chat anytime you need us.

Want to talk for real? During your trial we’ll give you a link to book a time for a phone call so you can talk through your setup in detail.

Step 4: Go Big or Go Home

Decision time!

Hopefully you’ve asked all of your questions (for now!), tested your booking pages and maybe even let a few students in on the secret and let them have a play around.

If you’ve decided you’re going to go with Punchpass then we’re super excited to have you join us – just enter your credit card information and you’ll be billed for the first time at the end of your free trial period.

We can upload your customer list AND their current pass information to get you off and running. No extra charge for that!  😀

Decided we’re not a great fit for you? We’d love to connect and see what was missing so don’t hesitate to reach out – we’re always adding new features and upgrades so keep us in mind if you’re ever in the market again!

Extra sneaky tips:

  • You can google “Punchpass+(your city/area)” to see if there are other studios nearby using the software and get an idea of your options
  • You can also follow us on Instagram or Facebook to get a better feel for what we do.
  • We’re happy to extend your two-week trial for a little longer if you ask nicely (and/or send us funny gifs)
  • Sometimes in the pursuit of simplicity things get a little hidden away and can be easy to overlook when you’re new to a system. If there’s a feature you’re looking for, definitely ask us about it! We may have it there somewhere (sometimes in another plan) or it may be something our tech team is working on for a future update.
