Minor Change to Specific Pass Details Report

The Specific Pass Details report now shows whether a customer still has an active pass. We have removed the future reservation count from this report.

*Major Improvement!* When one of your customers is logged into Punchpass and you require them to pay before booking, their workflow is now significantly improved. Their pathway from selecting a scheduled class, being instructed to pay first, then finalizing the registration, is seamless and lovely. The new process works for different types of scheduled activities (classes or series) and covers different types of packages you sell too (passes or memberships). It even works when the class is full and a customer must be added to the waitlist.

Improved Message When Customer Tries to Move a Reservation

We have improved the messaging we show customers if they attempt to move a reservation and there are no classes to move to. Before we didn’t really tell them anything, which was confusing! Now we tell them there are no scheduled classes available to move, and that they can keep or cancel their reservation.

Memberships Recover More Quickly After Downtime

We have improved the process around membership renewals when the system experiences unexpected downtime. Punchpass will now renew memberships that were affected as soon as the system is back up and running, avoiding any delay in that catch-up.

Now when a customer buys a membership that starts with a free trial, we show that more clearly on the admin side of Punchpass by marking the initial pass with a “free trial” status.

We’ve improved the instructions to install the Punchpass PWA ( https://app.punchpass.com/app ) by adding instructions for the iPad and hotlinks at the top so users can jump right to the section that applies to them.

Stripe Accounts Are Quieter

For businesses who sell their packages via Stripe, Punchpass will now create less ‘noise’ in your Stripe account. Now the system routinely touches your Stripe account only if one of your customers adds their credit card info and attempts to pay with (or add) a credit card. Previously, the system’s interactions with Stripe were more frequent.

Email Sender Name Corrected

March 2, 2022


Emails to customers confirming a canceled reservation were showing ‘Punchpass’ as the From name. We now show the client’s company name instead.
