Pass Extension Leaves Suspended Passes Alone

When you use the feature to extend the dates of passes in bulk, passes that are currently suspended will not be extended.

Change a Membership Renewal Date on Its Last Cycle

Now you can change the renewal date of a customer’s membership that has already reached its last period. The membership can be extended or contracted. Since there are no future charges when that final period arrives, the system does not grant the customer any credit.

Awesome news! πŸŽ‰πŸ˜€ Now you can offer multiple new payment options to your customers when you collect through Stripe. πŸ˜€πŸŽ‰ Google Pay and Apple Pay are, of course, no problem. And depending on where you are in the world, you can open up other collection types too — whatever payment methods that you and your customers prefer. Just turn on the relevant options in your Stripe account, and your customers will be able to use them when they buy your passes and memberships using Stripe Checkout.

Gift Card URL Now Shown Consistently on Admin View

We now show the public purchasing url for both regular passes and gift cards. There was previously an issue where we were not displaying the direct purchase url for gift cards.

Sporadic Problem With Filter on Public Schedule Fixed

We’ve fixed a bug where the dropdown filters on the public calendars were sporadically choosing the classes underneath the dropdown, instead of the chosen filter. It was a weird behavior that was confusing for customers if they happened to click in just the wrong place.

On the admin side of Punchpass, we’ve added customers’ phone numbers to the New Customer list to make it easier for admins to reach out to new customers without having to dig into their profiles.

Your customers can now use a Google authentication button on the mobile view of the public schedule to create a new account.

Express Reservations Improved

For express reservations where we show a list of passes that can be used to book into a class, we will only show passes that will be active on the date of the class. So if there is a pass type that has a fixed expiration date that is BEFORE the class date….we won’t show that pass as an option to book.

Update

Membership Renewal Failures Now Flagged Sooner

May 31, 2022


Membership renewal payments that fail in Stripe are now flagged more quickly so they can be handled proactively. Instead of waiting for the payment to fail 3 times before taking action, now we immediately mark the pass as suspended and payment failed. We also let the business admin know and tell them whether or not Stripe is going to retry the payment. We do not email the customer.
