There has been a lot of new functionality and improvements added to Punchpass recently, so we’re going to start consolidating our updates into an occasional blog post to help you keep up with what is new!  Here are the changes we’ve made in the first two months of 2021….

The Appointments Schedule

Punchpass works great for online or in-person group classes, as well as tracking individual private sessions.  But sometimes you need to take bookings for something else, and that is where our new ‘Appointments’ functionality comes in!  You can now define a class in Punchpass and mark it as an ‘Appointment’ class.  This means those classes will be put on their own separate schedule, making it far easier for customers to find.

Like all Punchpass features, we strive to build in as much flexibility as possible, so you can adapt the feature to your needs.  In the case of ‘Appointments’, you can rename the feature/schedule to match your business.  For example – one client has a training room and has a limitation of 4 people per hour.  So they can create a ‘Training Room’ class, limit it to 4 people, and schedule it from 9am-4pm Mon-Fri.  They can then name the link on their public pages ‘Book Training Room Session’, which gives customers a clear and simple way forward.

You can learn more about how this feature works here.

We’re excited about the flexibility and potential of having a second schedule for different types of classes.  Think about how your business might be able to use them!

Attributed Revenue – Improved Revenue Reporting

While we won’t get into the nitty gritty details here, we have greatly improved our calculations around revenue per class visit, even for unlimited passes that are not yet expired.  This lets us assign an attributed revenue value to each individual class, AND lets you know if that number may change in the future.

Why is this important?  Now we can start to help you answer some important questions about your business.  Which specific classes bring in more revenue?  Which time of day (or day or week) bring in the most revenue?  Which passes bring in the most revenue?  This sort of information lets you plan for the future, and begin to optimize your business by trimming low producing classes & passes and introducing new ones.

There will be more and more reports rolling out to help you visualize this data!

And a bunch of other smaller updates….

  • Your customers now have a redesigned site and navigation once they log in.
  • You can choose from a range of color themes for your customer pages to better match your business brand.
  • You can now limit access to your Content Library on a collection-by-collection basis…just like you restrict pass access to specific classes.
  • You can download any videos you have uploaded
  • A touchless check in option utilizing a QR code was added to the customer self-check in
  • Linking content to a specific class (and unlinking it) has been greatly improved
  • Two new reports – Instructor Activity Summary, and Individual Class Details
  • Many many bugs fixed!!!
